Making Muffins

Emma LOVES helping me cook! I don't let her help out as much as I should...because I am paranoid that she's going to burn herself or something like that. But, she has been helping me bake lately. She helped make bread last week, and this week we made some yummy muffins. She loves to pour everything in the bowl and mix :)

Finally...a place to work1

I am giddy with excitement that I finally have a place to work and edit...that's not the kitchen table or the couch. And, yes, that's my brand new tablet on the right ;)

Kingdom of Bounce

Can I just say that I HATE my point and shoot camera! It takes the worst pictures! But, I take it when we go out places because it's more convenient.

Anyway, last week, we met up with Carrie and the kids and went to Kingdom of Bounce. The kids had SO much fun!

Playing Catch Up

So, I am beyond late with these pics! But, we went to Ft. Rapids for Emma's birthday this year. We went last year for Jacen's birthday, but Emma had SO much more fun this year. She was able to do just about every thing. Short of getting swimmer's ear, she had a great time! I can't believe I'm the mom to a 5 year old now!

Board Breaking

After testing, Emma and the other purple belt student, got to break a board for the parents and other students. This is the 2nd time she has broken a board!

Purple Belt!

Emma tested for her Little Dragons Purple Belt on Saturday. Only Emma and one other boy in her class are that rank. They are the senior students in Little Dragons. She only has a few more ranks before she'll be in the junior program!

Emma the Photographer

I cannot get over how much Emma loves to take pictures with my point and shoot. Her favorite subject is Heidi. She follows her around with the camera. I love downloading the pics to see what she's taken. The shot of Heidi's tail cracks me up. I hope Emma grows up with a love of photography like her Momma!

Birthday Dinner

Last night we went to Red Robin for Emma's birthday dinner. This has become a tradition for the last few years. She LOVES Red Robin. She was so excited when they came out singing to her. Our waitress was fabulous and even let Emma take her picture.

Happy 5th Birthday!!!

Five years ago today, at 10:37am was the happiest day of my life. Emma, you have made me so happy in your short little life. Some days, I still can't believe that you're mine. I sit back and wonder how the years have slipped by so quickly, as it seems like only yesterday that you were born. You will ALWAYS be my baby. My sweet, beautiful, amazing baby. I love you so much! Have a happy birthday, baby!

My beautiful girl...

I could look at this face all day :) These are her 5 year pictures. This is the first year that I've tried my hand at them. I think they turned out pretty good..but how could they have not, with such a beautiful subject!!!! I heart her so much. I can't describe the love I have for her...my world...my breath. And to think, she'll be 5 in just a few short days! Where have the years gone?

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July!!!! And, Happy 18th Birthday, Aunt Kristin!!!!!!

Grounded

Well, I'm grounded for the 1st time in my adult life...by my doctor that is!

I went back to the doctor today because my knee pain has been getting worse. He thinks that it could still be a torn meniscus, but is leaning toward it being a tibial plateau fracture, due to the amount of pain I am in, and where it is.

So, I am off work until further notice. I have to be completely off that leg, so I'm on "britches" according to Emma :) At least he gave me Percocet for the pain because the 800 mg of ibuprofen I was taking, wasn't even taking the edge off.

I just feel bad for Jacen & Emma...sitting around the house for the summer. Jacen is going to go hang out with Grandma Carol and Grandpa J tomorrow night and Friday. And, Emma is going to the zoo with Miss Carrie and the gang on Friday, so they'll at least have a bit of fun this week!

Playing Cornhole

I found a Cornhole Jr. game at Target, and decided to break it out on Jacen's birthday, during his cookout. Emma, Jacen, and Aunt Kristin had fun playing. The last pic is Emma shielding herself from a pelting from her brother!
